When can we check-in our children?
Drop-off begins 15 minutes prior to service. Upon entering the classroom, each child will be given a nametag. Each parent or guardian will be given a claim ticket for Kids World and Adventure City and a beeper for Lil’ Village. A child must be checked in by a parent or guardian. Elementary-age children will not be permitted to check themselves or another child in or out. The claim ticket will need to be shown to our volunteer staff in order to pick-up their child. Please pick-up your children immediately following the service. We request that parents refrain from entering the classroom until the program is finished so as not to disrupt the given activity.
What is your screening process for volunteers?
The safety of your children is a top priority at Kids Church. We have procedures in place to keep your children safe and to give you the peace you need to allow us to care for your most prized possession.
Each volunteer is required to fill out an application, do a background check, and screened before they are able to serve in Family Ministries at Sanctuary.
What if my child is sick?
We operate a well-baby program. For the protection of all children in our ministry we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold, fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea, or any other signs of illness. We request that you do not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our Kids Church program a healthy place for all.
What is your sibling policy?
When young children are new to a church, we realize it can be difficult for them to adjust to a new classroom. Our policy is that we allow an older child to accompany a younger one for 1 or 2 times to help them adjust. We never allow the younger child to accompany the older sibling’s class. Each classroom is designed for the age of the child, so for a child to gain as much as possible from the teaching, they really need to attend their own classroom. We appreciate the parents helping us enforce this rule with their children.
How do I get involved in Family Ministries?
